Gesher Galicia welcomes your donations by check, credit card or PayPal to the:

Your contributions, of any size, support our research projects and general operations. All indexes of record sets are added to the All Galicia Database, and maps to the Map Room, for free searching online.

Vital Records Project

Kraków, Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Mielnica, Mikulińce, Mościska, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Targ, Podhajce, Stanisławów, Szczurowa, Tarnopol, Tartaków, Witków Nowy, and Zborów.

 


Holocaust Project

Donations will be gratefully accepted to the Holocaust Project generally (rather than for specific towns in it).

The Holocaust Project in 2019 includes the indexing of extensive sets of records from the Stanisławów Ghetto, 1941-1943, using material held in the State Archive of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (DAIFO) and in the Przemyśl State Archive.

 

 


Josephine & Franciscan Cadastral Surveys Project

Donations are now being accepted for the 2019 J&F Project town projects which include:

Bóbrka, Bolechów, Drohobycz, Grzymałów, Jezierzany, Łancut, Radziechów, Rawa, Sokal, Tarnów, Żydaczów.

Maps Project

In the coming year, maps expected to be reproduced include:

Cadastral maps from Gródek Jagielloński and Trembowla, and regional maps of Galicia from the period 1800-1815.


 


Medical Students/Doctors Project

Donations are accepted for the Galician Medical Students/Doctors Project, which currently includes archival surveys and the indexing of academic records from Lwów University (1918-1935) and the German University in Prague (1875-1938).

Jewish Taxpayers Project

In 2019, the Project will index more Jewish taxpayer records from the 1930s, including from: Biały Kamień, Borszczów, Brzeżany, Grzymałów, Mielnica, Skała, Tarnopol, Tłuste, Trembowla, Zbaraż, and Złoczów.

Fond 424 Project

Fond 424 is a collection of files of Jewish materials held at AGAD in Warsaw. None of the files in Fond 424 have previously been microfilmed or digitized.

General Research Fund

General Research Fund supports the acquisition of records, their indexing, and their uploading to the All Galicia Database; scanning and stitching maps, and their uploading to the Map Room; and the creation and updating of archival inventories on the Gesher Galicia website.

Pamela Weisberger Memorial Fund

Gesher Galicia is a non-profit organization carrying out Jewish genealogical and historical research on Galicia, formerly a province of Austria-Hungary and today divided between southeastern Poland and western Ukraine. The research work includes the indexing of archival vital records and census books, Holocaust-period records, Josephine and Franciscan cadastral surveys, lists of Jewish taxpayers, and records of Galician medical students and doctors - all added to our searchable online database. In addition, we reproduce regional and cadastral maps for our online Map Room. We conduct educational research and publish a quarterly research journal, the Galitzianer.
