The arrest of Laban and the killing of Dolck Lic- benskind was considered a feather in the cap of the Germans and consequently a secret comuniquc was transmitted by the Commander of the S.S. in Krakow to its headquarters in Berlin relating the "incident". The original of that cable was submitted during the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem by Gideon Hausner, the Chief Prosecutor in the case. In Jan- uary 1943 Szymek and Gusta Drangcr were also arrested.
