Im Jahre 1733 waren Jakob Wiebmer und Johan Michael Egner "constituihrte administhatores" für Schlesien, die die Aufgabe hatten, von den Juden die Gebühren einzuziehen.     ... den Zoll zu Teschen und erwähnte dabei, dass sich nun auch in Bielitz wo man dem Zoll zu entgehen hoffte, "ein neuer Zoll-jude" niedergelassen habe, der dort den Zoll erhebe. Es han-delt sich wohl um ein Mitglied oder um einen Angestellten der jüdischen Zollpächterfamilie Singer, die seit 1640 in Teschen wohnte. Jakob Singer und seine Familie bezw. Nachkommen waren die Pächter des Zolls, der im Herzogtum Teschen während des 30 jährigen Krieges am Jablunkapass eingerichtet worden war. Durch Teschen führte eine wichtige Handelsstrasse zwischen Breslau und Ungarn, die von den Breslauer Kaufleuten sehr be-nützt wurde. Da dieser Zoll angeblich sechsmal höher war als der Zoll, der auf der Strasse über Bielitz-Saybusch gefordert wurde, versuchten die Breslauer Kaufleute den Zoll über Bielitz ...
