The Mamales were such a hit with the attendees at our NY event last December that we wanted to find a way to bring the joy their performances deliver to a wider audience. We are happy to say that we have arranged to bring to you a performance created just for us through a streaming and “on demand” platform.
The performance will be at 1 PM EDT (1 PM EDT US/Canada (10-11 a.m. PDT US/Canada; 6-7 p.m. GMT, UK; 7-8 p.m. CET; 8-9 p.m. Israel; 5-6 a.m. next day NSW/Victoria, Australia).
If that time is not convenient for you to live stream, rest assured you will still be able to watch the concert on demand at your convenience for 30 days.
Jodi, Maya and Raquel met while doing Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, directed by Joel Grey at the National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene and bonded over their love for golden age music. They soon realized that singing in Yiddish together was something special and officially formed “The Mamales”.
The legendary genealogist, Miriam Weiner remarked after their performance at our December event:
“I found myself a bit choked up with some tears during a couple of songs that I know my father would have so enjoyed hearing. The “Mamales” were a joy to listen to and each of the girls was so very talented!”
